Michael C. Turner, M.D. is a native of Colfax, Louisiana.  He received his pre-medical education from Louisiana State University. He earned a Medical doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at LSU New Orleans and University of Alabama, in Birmingham. Dr. Turner is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac CT.

He is a Fellow of the American Fellow of American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of Council on Clinical Cardiology of the American Heart Association, past president of the American Heart Association of Louisiana, ACC Governor for Louisiana 2007-2009 and serves as the Medical Director of CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital Regional Heart Center and Director, outpatient cardiac CT. Dr. Turner is also a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology, an organization which has recognized him for special competence in the field of cardiac pacemakers.
